Testing is a very important process for a Wire Harness. If no testing, the miswiring will result in shot circuit and damage the device. Then what should be testing in a Cable Kit?
Detect the Cable Assembly for open circuit, short circuit, dislocation and other problems to ensure the integrity of current and signal transmission.
A. onductor resistance and contact resistance tests to verify the electrical conductivity and connection stability of the harness.
B. Measure insulation resistance against the risk of current leakage or short circuit.
Apply high voltage to verify insulation bearing capacity and avoid breakdown accident.
Physical characteristics test
Measure harness length, diameter, branch position, etc., to ensure assembly requirements.
Includes swing tests, tensile strength tests, vibration/impact tests to assess the durability of the harness under stress or motion.
Check for physical damage, such as sheath damage, corrosion or loose connectors.
After all things above done, you can ensure a good wire harness to the customers.
